LOVE COLOUR BLAST

Last minute Challenge entry for August!! Talk about getting in by the skin of my teeth!  Uploaded at 10.35pm and comp closes at 12 midnite!

The Colour Blast Challenge was to use a minimum of 1 of their brilliant products!

I have just purchased 3 ( Colour Paste,   Colour Embossing Powder & Colour Shimmer cube water colour )  in the brilliant Just Blue colour!!! 

It was fun to play with them today and use this cute photo of my #4 Grandchild Chace!

Kash the MAN

This little fellow will be FIVE    5      F. I. V. E. tomorrow!!!

How those years have flown!

His name is Kash and he has ASD! and a most precious member of our family! I was thrilled to get the brief for Scrap the Boys August Challenge, because I had just got these beautiful pics of our little KASHMAN!!!  I really wanted to enlarge them and showcase them somehow!

As the first layout says,  "A smile happens in a flash" with our grandchild #3 Kashy, so we were thrilled to get this happy pic - he was so happy on that swing! 

The pic this layout is a sweet one too, you may be able to see the chippy in his hand just going into his mouth!  My daughter said he sat one afternoon, after school, eating his afternoon tea snack (one of the few foods he will eat), just staring out to sea on Burleigh Heads hill! A favourite spot for him too!

PS Guess what we will be doing for his birthday tomorrow! A couple of his favourite things! Challenge for August was a cute little sketch !

I had 3 perfect little photos to use for this layout, my gorgeous youngest granddaughter Dyllan in her rocker! 

The twist of a home made item was cool too! I made the large yellow flower embellished with pins, beads, tin and card about a year ago and has been sitting in my flower stash with nowhere to go! 

 I think this pink and yellow layout was the perfect one for it!

Kaiser August Challenge

Well this month I was thoroughly confused!! Spent a fair amount of time creating a layout from a sketch which I thought was the challenge this month!!!  ALAS! It was 2016 August Challenge!! Never mind another page done for my albums anyways!

So once I had the correct brief for 2017 August challenge I was a bit stumped, as I wasn't sure what I would do with a bunch of cogs!  So after a bit of Pinterest surfing, to gather a few ideas together, and a search through some photos to see what I could use; this is what the finished project looks like!

I used these photos because, after a lot of cogs turning, wheels spinning, plenty of nuts and bolts; to work through, my hubby and I, ventured off on our very first 21 day Caravan Adventure to North Queensland!

I used the Kaisercraft Basecoat IV Collection for papers and lots of bits and pieces from my stash!

Boho Baby

Dusty Attic couldn't have given me a better mood board if they tried!  I am so loving the Boho influence at the moment and am enjoying doing a series of pages of my 2nd Granddaughter's First Birthday!

The twist using some of Dusty Attics Chipboard was a cinch as this piece of boarder chip board with a little embellishing fit in really well!

Trees Trees & more Trees

 

   KRAFT PLUS ONE August Challenge
I loved this months mood board as trees play a BIG part in our families lives!  Our oldest Grandson Blake LOVED climbing trees when he was a young fellow!  Didn't matter how tall it was up he would go!  My husband LOVES hugging trees too and we have many may photos of him in the act from all over the world!!  
Anyways I decided on one of both Blake and his little sister Jayde trying to keep up with his climbing adventure!!
I loved the green and kraft together and in particular the piece of thin wood veneer I had in my stash!  The photo does not do it justice!! It is the piece under the photo and green photo mount!
I enjoyed the fussy cutting of leaves and also the embossing of the branches and heart!   Don't you just love watching the change in the medium when you emboss!!
You may not notice but the piece of printed paper is out of a dictionary and it is T for TREE!!!

I had a couple of more photos that I really wanted to scrap too so it was an opportunity to do a double page layout!  The photos are of my first two grandchildren Black and Jayde outside a house we used to call Jimanji House!! It reminded us of the movie and I think you might be able to tell by Blake's face he wasn't too keen on turning his back on the house!!!
