SOMETHING SPECIAL

Just wanted to share something really special to me!!!
I had an idea!     I asked a friend to help!       Honoured my sisters!

A dear friend of mine Lola, makes the most beautiful coffee stained, Junk Journals and she gifted one to me at the beginning of the year!! (which I cherish)  My sister Bronwyn had admired it and the IDEA began!
Mothers Day was coming up and as my sisters and I had lost both our Mum many years ago and our Step Mum the year before last, I thought I would like to make a memento of us 3 sisters for Mothers Day!
The plan was to commission Lola to make two little journals and then I would fill them with photos and sister quotes!   Well firstly I needed to ask Lola - she was horrified and said she could not possible do that, (thinking her work was not good enough!!!)!  So my hopes to completed this project were dashed!! In the back of my mind I thought that maybe I could make them and leave it until next mothers day instead!!!
Mothers Day was coming soon and a visit to Lola's House was planned. WOW what a surprise I had waiting for me, two beautifully completed journals!! She had second thoughts, had a pity on her dear friend of 36 years and with lots of stress and angst did a beautiful job as usual!!!
It was going to take me much longer than the week, I had until Mothers Day, to complete the project, so it was a belated gift, for my sisters Gillian & Bronwyn!
I made the little Elephant Bags for the journals to live in and had lots of fun picking out photos old and new to print in Sepia to match the coffee pages of the journal!   The quotes were fun to find on the internet too!

& Lola needn't have worried so much, BECAUSE everyone was really impressed and my sisters will cherish her little journal forever!!

Wild One Avaari

Anna's Craft Cupboard  sent out the Challenge in the shape of June Mini Tic Tac Toe !
I have completed 9 lovely layouts this month for all the Challenges! and it has busy busy busy BUT so glad that I've got another lot of my photos scrapped!  So this one is page two of Avaari's 1st Birthday Album!

One last bit of fun for the month, and a REAL BIG challenge to only use 3 elements!!  Started off choosing some lovely printed pages of buttons and then realised NOTHING but the line I choose!

Flowers, Buttons & Washi Tape!!!

So here it is sweet and simple hope you like it!

Looking forward to some more challenges next month at https://www.facebook.com/groups/annascraftcupboardcommunity/

Beautiful Sisters

Anna's Craft Cupboard Community June Challenge was a great sketch by Kylie Cornish.

Earlier this year I attended a workshop with Cathy Cafun and completed a really lovely layout with the photo, which was taken after the one, I used for this challenge. (See the other layout below)
This photo is whimsical and playful and I feel the papers that I choose reflect that too!  You may not be able to pick it up but there is a lot of glitter on this page which is always a lot of fun too!  Thanks Anna for a fun challenge!!

As you can see this is the more serious photo in this pretty layout! Thanks Cathy for teaching this class!

Magical Moments

Imaginarium Designs'
gorgeous Mood Board Challenge was just perfect to scrap my Grandchild #7 (2nd Granddaughter) Avaari's First Birthday Photo Shoot at the Gold Coast's Miami, Pizzey Park forest!

The colours, feathers & trees on the board were just perfect for the magical moment amongst the pine trees!!

The theme for little angel, Avaari's first birthday was Boho with the feathers, tee pees,  and flowers and Bohemium style clothing. (In fact her bedroom is styled by her mother in Boho too.)

So, of course, the Imaginarium Designs Chipboard piece, I chose for the page, had to be MAGICAL MOMENT!
#idjunechallenge @imaginariumdesignschipboard

I think this page is very magical and can't wait to create some more pages for the rest of the photos taken on this day and at her party! I can feel an album coming on.......
Natures' Spirit, Paper Collection, by ScrapBerry's is just perfect don't you think!

WOW Can't wait to July for the next challenge - this is so much fun!

I thought you might like to see Avaari's cute room too!

All Eyes

Oh so much fun doing the June Challenge for Scrapbooking Top 50! This month they provided us with a photo challenge.  You know all those photos you take that just don't turn out like you had imagined, they are not quite perfect! Well ST50 asked us to instead of discarding one, scrap it instead!!

Well as you can see I must have zoomed in just a wee bit too far on this pic of my daughter Ruth and her son Ziah!  Ruth is looking right into the camera as you can see and little Ziah is day dreaming off into space.....         Although not quite the photo I was hoping for, I still like it anyways!!

With Ziahs dark eyes and his khaki jacket I thought these papers compliment the photo really well!

Thanks for showing me that YES you can scrap those not so perfect photos we all take!!

Can't wait to see what next months challenge is http://scrapbookingtop50oz.blogspot.com.au/

My Brothers

Get Crafty helped me out this month in their June Challenge.

My 9th grandchild (3rd beautiful granddaughter), Dyllan, was born 2 months ago and I have had the pleasure of putting a few pages together for her Mummy, who as you can imagine is very, very, busy with 3 littlies under 4!
So I used this sketch to showcase the photo of Dyllan and her brothers, Chace & Tyler. Tyler is absolutely smitten with his little sister and as she grows I am sure he will be a great big brother as will Chace!

The sketch was created by Laura Whitaker on www.scrappinaroundtheclock.blogspot.com

& of course, PINK is the theme around this little home at the moment, after two BLUE boys!!

Looking forward to next months challenge Get Crafty   https://www.facebook.com/groups/102086720261972/

Thought you might like to see that Miss Dyllan is growing beautifully and her Mummy celebrated with a mini photo shoot using a floral 2 for 2 months old!

Swinging High

Stuck offered a sketch for the Challenge for this month of June!
The sketch is once again created by Laura Whitaker www.scrappinaroundtheclock.blogspot.com

My SISTERS album is really coming along with all these lovely challenges I have been completing lately!  These 3 photos maybe not perfect but I love the pure joy on the faces of my two little sister! Swinging high is so much fun when you are a child!  BUT alas as the years have rolled by I have to say even pushing my grandies on a swing makes me sea sick!!

Loved this sketch thanks for the challenge   http://stucksketches.blogspot.com.au/

Ahoy, me heartys!

WOW  Lot's more fun this month playing along with Creative Embellishments June Challenge!  I love the steam punk picture they supplied for inspiration and the colours are devine!

However I went a little more "traditional" when I found these 2 cute photos of my Dad and daughter from back in 2000. I could not pick either one of them to use so decided on a double layout! I am hoping that this is OK to use for the Challenge!

I searched through my stash and found some great nautical pieces which I think fit in well with the papers I picked. The anchor was my twist piece!!!

Thanks Creative Embellishments for the inspiration to complete some more layouts with my millions of photos that I want to scrap ONE DAY!

Can't wait to play along again next month!  https://creativeembellishments.com/blog

Beauty

For the June Challenge for Kraft Plus we were asked if we could just use ONE colour, along with the Kraft Card!  Flicking through some photos I remembered, I really wanted to scrap these photos of my daughter's first pregnancy shoot at the beach back in 2013.

Although I have scrapped using orange, before it is probably not one of my favourite colours, so I was challenging myself and was surprised at how much I could gather together, from my stash to use basically one colour, although different shades!!
I am really happy with the results!!

I love these challenges because KRAFT is my favourite go to card!!!  Thanks Kraft Plus  http://kraftpluschallenges.com.au//

Boy on Taffeta

Scrapbooking Outback's White with a Twist, June Monthly Challenge was once again a challenge for me working with orange but I loved the gold and Kraft additions. Thoroughly enjoyed putting this one  together!

I picked one of my favourite photos of my youngest daughter's wedding. My grandson Ziah, was all dressed up and ready; waiting on the back of his Mummy's wedding dress for the fun to begin!
In the layout I had altered the butterfly, 2013 ribbon and bracket by spraying with a deep orange mist!

Of course, the mandatory piece of chippie,"Z", was also sprayed ORANGE!

I wonder what the White with a Twist Challenge will be for July at

Ollie Mack is a STAR

STUCK Sketch Challenge for 15 June 2017

This great sketch was another one from Laura Whitaker   www.scrappinaroundtheclock.blogspot.com

The little man in this pic is my # 8 grandchild!  Ollie Mack is such a happy, placid child and that makes him a STAR!!!   I loved his little elephant onsie as Elies are my favourite animal on this planet we call Earth!

I received a lovely Elie card from my sister last year and wanted to use the cut out elephants on a layout - I think I've picked the right one!!

Looking forward to the next challenge
