I was gifted with a gorgeous little box like these and when I had a few birthdays coming up I decided to give it a go! WOW are they so much fun to create! Loved doing them and what a great idea to include birthday money. Makes it a little more personal than just money in a card!!

Some fun!
My dear friends birthday was coming up and I wanted to make a little something special for her! We had spent a lovely day at the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers last year and had some nice photos that I wanted to put into a journal!
I found a box sitting around in my craft room, so I gave it a new lease on life and altered it!
After it was all finished it was time to make the journal to put inside! It was a lot of fun creating it and was a nice moment to see that Lola loved it!

Dyllan's Baptism
Daughter Sarah and I, loved participating in the beautiful layout class with Tracey Kelly in November last year!
The class was held at Neha's, Auzz Trinklets and Craft, which was the first time I had visited the little shop, which has a lovely collection of goodies to buy!
So the photo that Sarah and I chose was this one of gorgeous Dyllan on her Baptism day! She is wearing the handmade Christening Dress that my Mum made many moons ago. I wore the dress back in 1959! Sarah wore it in 1980 and many more in between and since!
So we had some more photos of Dyllan's big day so I decided to do an interactive page that would fit in the 11 other photos! Jenny Heaslip, from Belle Paperie has inspired me to try a page! They are so much fun! Mine is not half as intricate as Jenny's but does the job for fitting in a bunch of photos.
The page on the left is the one done with Tracey Kelly!

Christmas Cave Crafty Time
It's looking a bit like Santa's Workshop in my craft room at the moment!
I've been decorating beautiful smelling cakes of soap, for my grandchildren's teachers and friends of mine too! It's so much fun using some of my lovely lace stash, flowers, embellishments and lots more on them!
I've also loved making these little junky journal Christmas Albums too!
I learnt how to make these little journals from scratch at a workshop recently so decided to scale them down and make little Christmas Reflection books! Once again so much fun using some of the really pretty Christmas papers that I have in my stash!
Christmas Card Time
Hi everyone!
Well last month went by so quickly and now we have December upon us well and truly!
I won't get time for many challenges this month BUT was keen to do the Kaiser Craft one because I had a special card I needed to make, for some lovely ladies I know! So I took up the challenge and here it is ! I hope they like it!
I made a little pocket on the front of the card to insert a heart! So that is number 1 of a few more that I have to do for some more special people!

Eleven going on 21!
At Jayde's Auntie and Uncle's Wedding she fell in love with the Photo Booth! This is just THREE of an amazing amount of poses, the dear little 11 year old got up to! Oh Boy are we in for a ride of our life with this little granddaughter of ours!!
Loved using the BLING Colour Blast Colour Paste with this favourite Damask stencil of mine - works well with the curtain backdrop in the photos don't you think! The Colour Paste is very easy to use and love the shininess of it!
Thanks for the challenge CB

A Beautiful Moment
This was a great challenge for me! I was thinking at first "I can't do this one!" I love the concept, but thought I would have nothing to contribute! I kept the mood board close by and kept looking at it, every once in a while!
Flicking through a bunch of photos I found this one of Granddaughter #2 (grandbaby # 7) and decided to give it a go! Rummaging around in my extensive stash, I was staggered at how much I had to add to the layout! As often does the photo does not really show up every detail BUT believe me there is heaps of "metal" on board!
Gold and bronze and metallic buttons galore; embroidered gold flowers scattered around; stems of gold beads; the daisy in the back of the floral clusters have been painted with tarnished brass Distress Stain; Sequins painted with silver Pigment Izink; Silver and White silver glittered, embossed stencilled hearts; silver tape; and splashers of Distress Mica Sprays brass, bronze and pewter, along with Bo Bunny Bronze glimmer Spray & a little bronze metal dragonfly and mini crown to top it off!
My home made item is the 2 floral clusters, which I loved putting together - flowers, ferns, leaves, bead stems, mini doilies tipped with Pigment Izink Ambre, kraft card, soft tuelle, metallic buttons, & white silver embossed hearts, gold embroidered flowers!!
So much precious metal; gold, silver, bronze, brass, pewter WOW! - I have surprised myself! Thanks for the challenging challenge, can't wait to see what they give us next time.
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE SHOES!
The minute I read the Scrap the Girls November Challenge and
checked out the Mood Board I knew exactly what photos I was going to use!
My daughter, Sarah, was married back in 2012, and her favourite colour is orange! So her wedding was styled in shades of rusty orange through to bright orange! The day we when into the city to try on wedding dresses, Sarah saw these gorgeous shoes in a shop window! Of course, she HAD to have them and at the time the trend was to wear your favourite colour shoes under your dress! As you can see it looked wonderful with matching bouquet and shoes!
I completed an album for Sarah last year, but am only slowly getting to do one for myself!
So this is another layout to add to the album! 7 down and 400 to go lol

Centre of Attention
Really love this sketch for the Stuck Sketches November Challenge!
I love getting a kick start with a sketch! It really helps to get your creative juices flowing!!!
Like the previous post I put up for another challenge, I have to let you in on a secret!
I had some beautiful pages that I did in a workshop with Kelly Ann Oosterbeek a few months back and the back side of the layouts were too nice to not use!! So I added a few more pieces of paper and voila!
Loved using three little original photos from my family snaps way back when! The photos are still in such great condition, which I cannot say for the early photos of my own family back in the early 80's !
Thanks again Stuck Sketches http://stucksketches.blogspot.com.au/
Karen tells her young self!
